THE BEGINNING OF SEED
SEED or Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Persekitaran Positif Malaysia is the first Trans-Led community-based organization in Malaysia. Officially registered in 2014, SEED was created to ensure that there are support services available for those socially excluded, especially the Transgender community.
MAKING IT WORK!
We are funded by the public and set up our center in Chow Kit, to enable us to continue our services for the community. At SEED, we stay true to our motto – Nobody Gets Left Behind. With over 9800 people who were dependent on our support and services, giving up was never an option for us.
THE BIG MOVE
Today we are proud to say, with the support of our Friends of SEED, our drop-in center is now located at 69, Jalan Tiong Nam, Chow Kit. Our premises albeit small, is absolutely cosy and provides a warm place for the socially excluded community to seek shelter from the harsh realities of the street. In August 2017, we opened our ‘T-Home for elderly Transgender’ in Ampang that can house a maximum of 10 residence.
We will continuously seek new ways of sourcing for funding and resources to support our community and open up possibilities to make different choices for the betterment of their lives and their families
COME JOIN US
We invite you to come on down to the centre and understand more of what we do and how you can support. At SEED every little bit counts!
